APPRECIATED PREDICTABILITY
Grgich Hills 2005 Chardonnay, Napa Valley, CA Estate
Sometimes the predictable is very much unappreciated and Grgich Hills Chardonnay has long been an appreciated and predictable mainstay in Risqué’s glorious wine cellar. In the world of wine there is some good wine and a lot of bad. Risqué would never fear opening a bottle of Grgich Chardonnay and sharing it with his lushes.
This non-malolactic favorite has a nice nose of Meyer lemon, newly blooming honeysuckle, a hint of acacia and a finale of French oak. Wonderfully balanced and arousing in the mouth, the fruity endowed flavors exude green apples, pear, juicy peach and spice all with a long, long lemony finish.
Risqué would pair this wine with a fresh arugula salad with a Pear, Blue Cheese and Apricot Vinaigrette and a beautiful apple-brandy grilled pork loin.
All of Risqué’s LUSHES are happy LUSHES!
